Bill Holland is the President of Mandrake, a leading Canadian executive search firm. His professional career spans more than 25 years in consulting which includes leadership roles in human capital management, preceded by positions in sales and marketing in the consumer products and retail merchandising sectors. Bill is credited for the development and launch of a number of human capital businesses including a leading career transition firm, a human capital management consultancy, and a national provider of management selection services.
Bill is a keen study of human dynamics in the workplace. He co-authored ReadySet Hired!, a Practical Guide to Finding a Job, and regularly expresses his point of view through career articles and advice. He is an active participant in social media, owning and operating CPG Supergroup!, LinkedIn's largest global network for consumer packaged goods professionals.
Bill is a member of Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, Association of Ontario Food Processors, Toronto Board of Trade, Human Resources Professionals Association and the Association of Career Professionals.
As a member of the Women in Leadership Foundation Advisory Board, Bill is Co-Chair of WIL’s Top 50 Women in Leadership Awards Program, created to honour women, individuals and organizations for their accomplishments and commitment to the advancement of women. He also served as Chair of the wwwork!com Corporate Giving Program whose primary benefactor was Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.
Bill's commitment to corporate social responsibility goes well beyond the workplace. He is publishing “Making the Connection”, a white paper on the connection between Corporate Social Responsibility and Employee Engagement. He is a strong advocate for the environment which he practices at home and play. As an avid recycler, he purchases wind generated power for his home, drives a hybrid, and buys carbon offset credits to balance his carbon footprint.
